@khurtwilliams Nation of Millions was on constant rotation on my Walkman when that album hit. I’ve never heard anything like it since. Fear of a Black Planet is better produced but doesn’t capture the same intensity.
But this remix… I’m sentimental about it.
Earlier in the evening, we went to a Loony Toons film festival and laughed ourselves into tears. Afterward, we walked to the radio station I worked at and got drenched in a rainfall on the way there.
This song was playing over the office speaker while we were there drying off. The deejay was in the zone and provided the perfect soundtrack for our evening.
